Sun Peak Metals Corp. (“Sun Peak”) is a Canadian junior mining company that is focused on exploration and discovery of high grade gold and copper targets on the Shire Project in Ethiopia’s prolific Arabian Nubian Shield. Sun Peak’s management team has worked in the region for nearly 20 years with both Nevsun Resources on the Bisha Project and Sunridge Gold on the Asmara Project.

The Shire Project is comprised of four exploration licenses covering approximately 900 square kilometers in northern Ethiopia. The licenses are on the same geological trend as both the Bisha Mine and the Asmara Projects, to the north in Eritrea. Sun Peak is the only other international mining company besides Newmont exploring in the region.
